The town's electric department needs a line technician, from apprentice up to Class I or II. Duties include building and repairing underground and overhead distribution lines, pulling conductors, hanging transformers, fixing streetlights and running line trucks, bucket trucks and backhoes. Needs a high school diploma with electrical training, a Class A NC CDL and ElectriCities Line Tech certification (or the ability to get them). Mon-Fri schedule with on-call and call-back duty.
