Entry-to-experienced track that builds, installs and maintains overhead and underground distribution lines, transformers and meters, including pole climbing and digging. The hire enrolls in a state-approved apprenticeship and must reach Lineworker Class 1 within 4.5 years. Requires a Vermont driver's license, a Class A CDL within 180 days, algebra and basic computer skills, heavy lifting ability, and living within 35 minutes of the district office. Includes overtime and after-hours storm call-outs.
